Our Story

WHO WE ARE

Torus was built by two sisters, Lauren and Jaylynn Kogan, who saw something missing — a locally owned, community-driven gym built around structure, coaching, and connection, not crowds or corporate formulas.

Fitness should feel personal. Supportive. Structured. And welcoming.

We didn’t want to create another crowded gym where people walk in, feel unsure, and leave without direction. We wanted to build a space where members feel comfortable the moment they step through the door — where coaching is intentional, programming is intelligent, and everyone feels like they belong.

For us, Torus is about community first.

It’s about creating an environment where people aren’t just showing up to sweat — they’re showing up to grow. Where you’re not just another membership number. Where the people around you are respectful, focused, and serious about improving.

We believe people don’t struggle because they lack access to equipment. They struggle because they lack structure, accountability, and guidance.

That’s why our training approach is centered on purpose-driven, coach-led programming. Every session fits into a structured 52-week plan designed to improve strength, movement quality, conditioning, and long-term resilience. Nothing is random. Nothing is thrown together.

But we also know that not everyone trains the same way.

Some members thrive with hands-on coaching and structured sessions. Others prefer to train independently — on their own schedule — but still want a clean, organized space with high-quality equipment and a focused atmosphere that supports real training.

At Torus, both are respected.

Whether you’re being coached or training on your own, the same standards apply:
Intentional design. Thoughtful layout. Top-tier equipment. A calm, welcoming environment. And a culture built around consistency, respect, and progress.

We’ve worked hard to create a space that feels like your gym — not chaotic, not overcrowded, and not intimidating.
